Hello everyone! My name is Lisa Hillier. Some of you may remember me from BOTH local gas stations in Musquodoboit Harbour. The ESSO and the Irving. I have probably pumped your gas for you at least once. I am and have been for a while...looking for a place to rent in Musquodoboit Harbour or somewhere in close distance. Preferably a 3 bedroom house. I grew up in East Petpeswick and am now living in Halifax. I am not a fan of living directly in the city..and would like to move back home soon. If anyone knows of anything available ASAP or has something themselves...please email me (see above)

Thanks...

20 years how the time flies. I remember my 1st Olands. I remember when I 1st fell in love. I remember the Rankin Family when we used to get together at house party's. But most of all I remember my 1st Love Lory. I miss the days of climbing to the top of Cambells Mountain. I miss the times that I could smell the sweet smell of spruce in the air. Yes I'm home sick. I still think of the friends & family I left behind. I hope to return to God's Country someday.
I miss you all...

I just found this site as I was browsing and looking for property.
My dream is to move to NS one day, preferably the coast (or a lake).
I am a poor teacher in Texas. Does anyone have any advice for my someday relocating?
I understand there are regulations; however, I do have a master's degree. (But, alas, no job there.) I have been lookign for very reasonable property.
Thanks and I enjoyed it.

Hello everyone! I am still here and my children now attend Eastern Shore District High. The school has gone downhill a bit due to lack of maintence funding but it is surprising how many teachers are still there. I graduated in 1979 and went on to marry my teenage sweetheart Brad Smith. We have been married for 24 years and have three beautiful daughters. Our oldest is in her third year at St. Francis Xavier University and our second has been accepted to Memorial University with scholarship for the fall. Our youngest is attending grade 10 at ESDH. I am searching for a friend of mine who moved away during our time in high school named Stephen Sutherland. If anyone remembers him or has heard from him since school days I would love to hear from you. He grew up in Lower East Petpeswick near Martinique Beach in the 60's and 70's. I am now living in my old homestead having moved here to be with my widowed mother Patricia Roberts. I am extremely happy to be here!

Cool site.Nice to see comments from east coaster's everywhere.I've been away since 1977. One of the things I miss most is the ocean. I live between 2 great lakes.Lake ontario and lake erie.

When a storm rises up it's o.k. but it's nothing like the fury of the ocean. I'm married and have been for 21years. We have 5 children, 3 of them are teenagers. HELP! (HA HA)

Perhaps I'll drop by again sometime. My home town was Glace Bay Nova Scotia. On the rock boy, from the bay boy.
Take care!

to Erma Siteman, hello you go to senior center to learn writing stories, good for you, im writing my life story, many writers i met on internet, has helped me so much, first a nice lady told me to make notes on my life, up to eighteen years old, so i started at five, then i was to put notes in order of the correct years, that finished then i was to put it all on tapes, you know i had a busy life it took five ninety minute tapes, then i had to master the computer, i had office put on so i could write my story, next i needed to learn to spell, not finishing grade seven i use the dictonary a lot, its slow but at least the words are correct, im seventy and some times i feel like quiting, but that would not get my story on paper, so my children, grand and great grand children, could see how i grew up in hard times in Nova Scotia, why i left there at the age of eighteen, and came to ontario,
