I joined the Navy in 1981 and was posted to Halifax until 1993. Moved to Victoria the summer of 93 and have been enjoying the B.C. beauty ever since. The people out here are just not as friendly as they are on the East coast. Hope to move back East when I retire in four years. Probably find a real stressful job (counting nails in a hardware store). Can't wait to have a back yard corn boil. Eat Chinese food, have a feast of Lobster and wash it all down with a cold bottle of Keith's. Maybe that's why I lost weight since I moved West, they just do not have good food out here.

Although I am not from Nova Scotia, I descend from Nova Scotians. The farthest back I can go is John DEAN who settled in settlement that was named after them-Dean Settlement, now known as Dean, NS. I hope to come up to NS next year, it sounds beautiful. If there are any DEAN or EISAN family members out there, I would love to hear from you. I am trying to add all the family members I can to my family tree (all the branches, twigs and little sprouts). We have a new little sprout born today.

As most Nova Scotian's, Cindy and I moved to Ottawa for career opportunities. Although my career is doing just great, nothing beats the Nova Scotian home land! I worked for SHL Systemhouse from 1987 to 1995 and then JetForm Corporation from 1995 to present. Cindy and I now have three children. Jeffrey (1989), Laura (1992), and Devin (1993) who are keeping us quite busy. We also have a small home based business called JLD Enterprises (can you figure out the JLD?) from selling JOCUS toys to family fireworks!

We build the frame, dash, sport bar etc along with other steel products for other vehicles. Its a job that pays the bills and lets me vacation twice a year.
Was in NS for 2 weeks in July. Awesome weather, awesome time. Lobsters, ocean....what more could you ask for?
Love to hear how others are coping with the "wave withdrawl".

Lard Liften Eh, Sitten way too far nort of the Cape and just a little too far west! Yes indeed another home sick Cape Bretoner making a go of it in Ontario. Buried up to my nose in Calculus and Chemistry this summer at Lakehead University. Oh to be an engineer! What I miss most, rolling on the waves in St. Annes Bay, paddling around the Ferry Hole off NewCamblton, floating down the lazy Mira from Marion Bridge, and watching the most spectacular sunsets from Inverness Beach, and lest I forget the Cabot Trail!

I'm the fella on the far left, picture taken by the guy holding his arm out with the camera on the far right. We have out three kayaks huddled off the coast of Kennington Cove, near Louisbourg.
And a final note, all bad spellers of the world UNTIE! .. ;-)
