Oh no, it is that time of year again - Christmas! Will I ever get
over being away from home at this time of year?! Does one mature?
I do make it through the season because of my family I have here;
my husband and son & daughter (Cailee & Logan) that is it. All you
clans down there with your family around, I really envy you. However,
I do manage to get to the east coast for 4 beautiful weeks during
the summer to have fun and enjoy that ocean smell. Would love to
hear from anyone during this Christmas or anytime. Enjoy the season!

I have been working with N.B Power since leaving C.B. I get home
about two or three time a year. I must say that the town of Sydney
Mines is dying. {kind of depressing}

Served in Alberta and made my home here after my release.
I have been back only for occasional visits.
I have been entertaining the possibility of retiring to N.S. when
the time comes but I have no firm plans in that direction.
My field of endeavour is in electronics and I have been employed
in industrial (Oilfeild production) electronics for the past fifteen
years.
Since there is little or no employment in my feild in dear old N.S.
I cannot see relocating there until retirement - if then -.

old my mother and four brothers moved to Ontario. I am now married

My father's name is Melvin and my grandfather's name is Robert.
The last time I was in Cape Breton was in 1981 with my grandmother,

Although not from Nova Scotia we did spend 6 1/2 great years in
Bridgewater. I worked at Michelin Tire.Our two boys were born there
and we still have a lot of friends there.
One such friend we lost touch with was Lorraine Sellars who remarried
and is now a Fader. She lived in Bridgewater in the late 70's and
early 80's. At that time she was married to Mike Sellars who worked
for Michelin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Been in Alberta for 15 years, but still miss the ocean! We live
in the mountains just east of Banff and west of Calgary. married
with three kids. I'm a librarian at a high school.
We try to get home every second year, but the best laid plans of

my name is Robert, nickname OJ.
Iam interested in finding my family members and be able to contact

I was born in New Waterford, N.S. on May 7th, 1966 to Marion Elizabeth
White. I have been raised, since an small child by my foster mother
in Glace Bay. I was a ward of the Children's Aid Society of Cape
Breton Sydney, N.S.
To my knowledge I have a sister named Linda Ann, Dorothy Irene,
Violet Stella who remained in the custody of The Children's Aid
Society Of Sydney, along with my brothers Ivan Wayne and Stanley
Edward. I also have a sister Alice Jean and a brother David who
were adopted in Quebec. Alice's birthday is April 6th, 1956 and
David's is January 29th, 1955.
David and Alice may have been adopted through the Villa Marie Social
Service Center West Island, Point Claire, P.Q.
Any person who might be able to help me out I would greatly apperciate
it. I work for Dept.of Transport in Dartmouth, and have a daugher
3yrs old and a wonderful companion. Because of my Birth mother's
death years ago, I am unable to find out little information on my
