Iwas born in N.B. but lived most of my life in N.S. and graduated from Acadia University in 1988. I miss the Maritimes especially as the weather gets warmer. Albertans certainly are much different than us downhomers! Greetings to all!!

Hi, I enjoyed the visit. I would like to know more about the straw house. There was a house made out of sawdust in our area at one time. There is need for affordable housing as much of what is available today is out of reach on many of our lower income brothers and sisters.

I grew up in East Jeddore until I was 13. Then I moved to the Annapolis Valley. I lived there until 2 years ago when I moved to the big City of Calgary. Now I am working as a lab tech. I really miss being close to the water. As we all know Alberta isn't very close to an ocean. I would like to get in touch with antbody I went to school with . Robert Jamieson between the ages of 23 and 25. This has been a pleasure visiting this page.

I moved to the suprise of many, myself included to a small community just north of Victoria. I miss many friends from the Eastern Shore (all along the #7) My last visit was a short one and I hope to get back again soon when finances allow me to.
It was a nice suprise to find this site. It was just as nice to see another name on this same list of someone I know that has moved from "The Shore".

We moved to Leamington Ontario, on Lake Erie, in 1965. But my parents strapped us into the wagon every summer, keeping us in touch with friends and family back home. Does anyone else remember waiting for a lake to go lowtide?, trying to explain dulse?, using a coal stove in the mid 60s?

I moved to BC in 1967, I have four brothers and 3 sisters, two of the brothers and 1 sister are still in New Waterford, one sister is in Halifax, and two brothers live in Vancouver and the other sister lives in Williams Lake.
I worked in Number 12 pit from 1961 to 1967. Moved to BC for one year, ended up getting married and having 4 children. I was in Cape Breton 1995, planning on driving across this year.
Be interested hearing from other Cape Bretoner's. Sure do miss the country but BC can be the next best thing.

Hi to Nova Scotia and students of CCHS, Onslow (1964)(I still my yearbook!).
My hubby (from Ramsgate, Kent,England) and I want to return to N.S. (Halifax, Hubbards, etc. area) to live. I have family in various parts of N.S. mainly Truro area. I have friends all over. Last time home was Aug/Sept 1997.
Have had enough of Vancouver area - now need a slower more sane pace. Hobbies: Nascar (Jeff Gordon) & Indy (this is the home of Greg Moore!); Vanc. Camaro Club; anything car related; anything race related.
Did you know the very best Nascar supplier is called "Racing Around" (at) the shopping mall near the Halifax Mall (near the entrance to the freeway)? The name escapes me at the moment!
I love watching "Black Harbour".
Maiden name was Upham for anyone checking this guestbook. Love to hear from other Truronians and Bluenosers (not that Truronians aren't Bluenosers - they certainly are - I just love that word "Truronian" that I made up!!)
