Say hello to friends
& family on Nova Scotia's Eastern Shore.
Canadian
Thanksgiving
In Nova Scotia, Thanksgiving is celebrated in October with the rest
of the country, but living near and from the sea gives us special reasons
to be thankful.
Travelling
to Newfoundland
A trip to Newfoundland in late October is truly an "Ordeal by Water!"
but nevertheless a memorable experience if you enter into the spirit
of it.
The
Highway7 Community Forum
Chat, meet new friends, share your views, ask questions, find out what
others are saying about life on Highway #7. Here's
what we're talking about:
Local author is about to release second children's book after
the success of her first book "Licorice And The Brown Sweater".
Written and illustrated by Thelma Morris-Fogarty "Freckle And
The Chicks" is the story of a small dog who learns about her
new job guarding the chicken pen, in the process she finds out
where eggs come from and the many adventures of life down on
the farm. The storey will be enhanced with felt board pictures
as it is read. Light refreshments will be served.
Come and chat with the author and have your copy signed, while
the children color a picture of Freckle and her chicks. Everyone
welcome!!!

Catch
The White Flag
Members of the Musquodoboit Harbour Trailways Association met
at the Salmon River House for Coffee before leaving on a hike
to the top of White Flag.
Some
activities I try to avoid: running in circles, treading water,
watching others being active. They would give me the illusion
of doing something, yet get me nowhere.
