Give 'em some love? How about an Online Valentine?

"Like most romances, it starts with a kiss, only the kiss looks like this :- #. Our lovers embrace { } and share a little laughter (LOL!). They download a romantic midi file and listen to string quartets while they type sweet nothings at each other. Something clicks, and it's not just the mouse. They're in love, and they haven't even met." - Michelle Griffen in "
Cyberstuds and Virtual Babes".

When the weather outside is cold and blustery, the season when 'a young man's fancy turns to love' seems a long way off. Yet each February 14th, the world celebrates Valentine's Day by giving flowers, candy, and exchanging love poems.

You already know the story of St. Valentine and who that little troublemaker Cupid is. Maybe you read about them in school around the same time you were printing your name on 32 Valentine punchouts to exchange with classmates. But that's ancient history - the world has changed.

Now you can sit in the warmth of your own home and meet 'that special someone' online. Chat rooms are everywhere and online dating clubs are some of the busiest sites on the Net. You can even get 'web-locked' in virtual matrimony!

Send Your Valentine Postmarked "Love".
To receive a unique cancellation and Valentine cachet, just enclose your pre-stamped, pre-addressed Valentines in a larger 1st Class envelope and mail it to:

Love, Saskatchewan

Love happens faster on the web than Cupid's bow can fly, so be careful when you venture into a 'private chat room'. Cyber-sex is everywhere! While it may be the epitome of 'safe-sex', it can be dangerous.

Don't believe everything you're told. On the web, people can be anyone they choose, any age, any gender, any persuasion. It 's a fantasy world where your dream lover can turn into your worst nightmare.

Just like in real life, 'lounge lizards' lurk. Already married folk are just out to have a 'cyber-fling' and web-stalkers are as scary as their real-world counterparts.

The cue is, have fun but exercise caution - the fact is, real people just like you are out there, tapping away at their keyboards and hoping to meet someone special to spend their lives with.
