she finds inspiration for her delicately rendered watercolours.
Katy, who is from Calgary, likes to visit in the late spring and
early summer when the coastal landscape spills colour everywhere.
Hundreds of shades of green ranging from the darkest black spruce
to the bright green of new maple leaves provide a lush backdrop
to the dazzling yellows of buttercups and daisies. And along the
roadside, the pinks, blues and lavenders of lilacs, wood violets
and lupins grow in wild profusion.
