Sand Castles at Clam Harbour
A life size elephant, the Great Wall of China (not lifesize), the bizarre, the wild and wacky, huge and bizarre castles and much more. Some creations are over 20 feet tall!

For people who just want to watch and relax, the swimming is pleasant- not a stone for miles and there's lots of local food such as steamed mussels, chowder and corn-on-the-cob. Beach services also include plenty of washrooms, showers and wheel chair accessibility.

Sand Fortress at Clam HarbourA shuttle bus runs from Webber's Store on Highway #7 or you can drive in and park if you're early.

Prizes for best sand sculptures are awarded in childrens and adult categories and the event winds up by suppertime. To end a great day at one of Nova Scotia's best beaches, plan to stay through the evening with your own barbecue in Clam Harbour's picnic area and top it off with a sing-song and a moonlight swim. Life couldn't be better.
